Care & Cleaning

Getting Started

For the best cleaning & care results when maintaining your Morzze products, please follow all instructions carefully, and only use the suggested cleaning agents. Using other cleaning agents may cause damage or discoloration and may potentially affect the functionality of your product.

Always test all cleaning  agents  on  an  inconspicuous  area  of your  Morzze  product  before applying to the entire surface.

Wipe all surfaces clean and rinse them completely with water immediately after applying the cleaner. Rinse and dry any excess cleaner that may land on adjacent surfaces. Do not allow cleaner to sit, as it may soak in and cause damage.

Use a soft, damp cloth or sponge. DO NOT use any abrasive material, such as a scouring pad, brush, or steel wool, to clean the surface of your Morzze product.

The effectiveness of all cleaners depends on factors like water hardness and temperature, consistency of cleaning formulas, and age/condition of the product being cleaned. Variations in these, and other, factors mean that Morzze cannot guarantee the effectiveness of any cleaner or procedure used. Please see the product warranty for further details on what is covered under normal conditions of use.

Kitchen Faucets

To keep your kitchen faucet functioning at its best, it is important to properly care for and clean it regularly. Here are some care and cleaning instructions for your faucet:

Regular Cleaning: Clean your kitchen faucet with a soft cloth or sponge and mild soap or dish detergent. Wipe the surface in the direction of the polish lines to avoid scratching the surface. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, ammonia, chlorine, acid, toilet cleaner, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads on your kitchen faucet. These can damage the surface of the faucet and cause scratches or discoloration.

White Vinegar Solution: For tougher stains or hard water deposits, mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the faucet and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it off with a soft cloth. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.

Baking Soda Paste: To remove stubborn stains or grease buildup, make a paste using baking soda and water. Apply the paste onto the affected area and let it sit for a few minutes. Gently scrub with a soft cloth or sponge and rinse with clean water. Dry with a soft cloth.

Avoid Scratching: Avoid using steel wool, wire brush or other abrasive scrubbers on your kitchen faucet as these can cause scratches. Also, be careful with sharp utensils or objects near the faucet to prevent accidental scratches.

Polish Periodically: To maintain the shine and luster of your kitchen faucet, polish it periodically with a brass/steel cleaner or polish.

Dry After Use: After using your faucet, be sure to dry it with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and mineral deposits from forming.

Avoid Hard Water Buildup: If you have hard water, consider installing a water softener to prevent mineral buildup on your faucet and other fixtures in your home.

When purchasing a cleaner for your kitchen faucet, look for a brand that explicitly states its products are “suitable for brass/stainless steel”. We recommend using your choice of cleaner from the Products to Consider section below.

Stainless Steel Sinks

To keep your stainless steel sink functioning at its best, it is important to properly care for and clean it regularly. Here are some care and cleaning instructions for your sink:

Recommended Use & Care

We Recommend:

Regular Cleaning: Stainless Steel Sinks should be cleaned regularly to prevent buildup of dirt, grime, and water spots. Simply use a mild dish soap or a non-abrasive cleaner and hot water to wipe down the surface of the sink. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Dry Thoroughly: After each use, make sure to dry the sink thoroughly with a clean cloth. This will prevent water spots and mineral deposits from forming on the surface of the sink.

Use a Stainless Steel Cleaner: For tougher stains or to restore shine to the sink, use a specialized stainless steel cleaner. When purchasing a cleaner for your kitchen sink, look for a brand that explicitly states its products are “suitable for stainless steel”. We recommend using your choice of cleaner from the Products to Consider section below.

Rinse after Use: If any food or liquid is spilled on the sink, make sure to rinse it immediately with hot water. This will prevent stains and buildup from forming on the surface of the sink.

Protect the Sink: To prevent scratches and dents, use a sink grid or mat on the bottom of the sink. This will also help to prevent dishes and utensils from chipping the sink surface.

Use a Soft Cloth: When cleaning stainless steel sinks, always use a soft cloth or sponge to prevent scratching the surface. Avoid using steel wool, abrasive pads, or harsh scrub brushes.

Please Be Aware That:

Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, ammonia, toilet cleaners, acid, chlorine or abrasive cleaners on sink as they can damage the surface of the sink. Instead, opt for gentle or natural cleaners for safe and effective cleaning.

Do Not Leave Standing Water: Avoid leaving standing water, pot or utensils in the sink for extended periods as it may cause rust stains on the sink surface or it can cause discoloration and water spots. Make sure to dry the sink completely after each use.

Avoid Scratching: To prevent scratches, avoid placing sharp objects directly on the sink surface. Use a cutting board when slicing or chopping food and do not use knives or other utensils directly on the sink.

Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not pour boiling water directly into the sink as it can cause damage. Also, do not use the sink as a cutting board for hot pots and pans. Allow them to cool before placing them in the sink.

Do not leave acidic or alkaline substances on the sink surface: Stainless steel can react with acidic or alkaline substances and cause discoloration or damage to the sink. Avoid leaving lemon juice, vinegar, or bleach on the sink surface for extended periods.

Do not leave rubber dish mats, cleaning sponges, or pads in the sink overnight, as they will trap water, which will lead to staining or discoloration of the sink surface.

Note:

  • Unfortunately, stainless steel will scratch over time. This is inherent to the material; you will see evidence of this wear condition on the surface of other kitchen items, such as cutlery, and pots & pans. For this reason, we recommend that you use the mildest form of cleaner available. Please use a non-abrasive cleaning soap (e.g. liquid dishwasher detergent) with a soft cloth to clean the surface of the sink.

  • Mineral deposits build up over the time, we recommend using vinegar to neutralize the calcium deposits. Use a soft dishcloth saturated with vinegar to scrub the sink surface, then rinse with water and towel dry.

  • The presence of iron in commonly used kitchen items, including steel wool pads, cast iron skillets, and steel utensils, can potentially cause corrosion on stainless steel. Even small particles of iron residue can be left on the surface of sinks, and although they may not be easily noticeable, the combination of iron and moisture can trigger corrosion.

Following these care and cleaning instructions will help to keep your stainless steel kitchen sink looking clean and shiny for years to come. With regular maintenance, your sink will stay in top condition and continue to be a beautiful and functional part of your kitchen.

Granite Sinks

Congratulations on choosing a beautiful and durable Morzze granite sink for your home! The timeless elegance and durability of Morzze granite sink make it a popular choice for kitchens and bathrooms. To ensure that your Morzze granite sink stays looking its best for years to come, here are some care and cleaning instructions to follow:

Daily Cleaning

For everyday maintenance, wipe your Morzze granite sink with a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the surface of the sink.

Avoid Staining

Quartz is a non-porous material, which means it can be hard to stain. Still to prevent staining, wipe up spills and stains as soon as possible, especially those from coffee, tea, or coloured liquids. Avoid leaving wet or damp sponges, cloths, or dishes on the sink surface for an extended period.

Use Gentle Cleaners

When cleaning your Morzze granite sink, use a gentle, pH-neutral cleaner specifically designed for granite or natural stone. Avoid using vinegar, acid, toilet cleaners, bleach, or ammonia-based cleaners as they can etch or discolour your sink’s surface.

Deep Cleaning

For tougher stains and grime buildup, create a paste with baking soda and water and apply it to the affected area. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before scrubbing with a soft-bristled brush. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth.

Protect from Scratches

While granite is a durable material, it can still get scratched if not handled with care. Avoid using abrasive sponges or steel wool when cleaning your sink. Also, be mindful when placing heavy or sharp objects in the sink, as they could potentially cause scratches or dents.

Avoid Extreme Temperatures

Morzze Granite sinks are resistant to heat, but extreme temperatures can still damage them. Do not pour boiling water directly into the sink, and avoid placing hot pans or pots directly onto the surface. Always use a trivet or heat-resistant mat to protect your sink from heat.

Prevent Hard Water Spots

Hard water can leave unsightly spots on your sink’s surface. To prevent this, dry your sink with a clean cloth after every use, especially if you have hard water in your area. You can also use a mix of equal parts water and white vinegar to remove any hard water build-up.

Improper use may damage products and invalidate the warranty.

Liquid Soap Dispenser

To keep your soap dispenser functioning at its best, it is important to properly care for and clean it regularly. Here are some care and cleaning instructions for your liquid soap dispenser:

Avoid using abrasive cleaners: Do not use any abrasive cleaners or scrub brushes , steel wool, abrasive pads or wire brush on the hand shower as they can scratch or damage the surface. Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners.

Regular Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surface of the soap dispenser with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any residue or spills. You can use mild detergent or soap if necessary. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or brushes that may scratch the surface.

Clearing Clogs: If the soap dispenser becomes clogged, remove the soap bottle from underneath the sink and rinse the soap dispenser with warm water. Use a small brush or toothpick to clear any residue or soap buildup from the nozzle or pump mechanism. Reattach the bottle securely and test the dispenser before using.

Refilling: To refill the soap dispenser, simply remove the current liquid soap bottle from under the sink and replace it with your preferred brand of liquid soap. This way, you can avoid the hassle of constantly unscrewing and re-screwing the bottle.

Preventing Mold & Mildew: To prevent the growth of mold or mildew, ensure that the soap dispenser is not continuously exposed to excess moisture. Wipe off any water or soap spills around the dispenser promptly and dry the area thoroughly. Additionally, avoid using dilute or watered-down soaps, as they can promote bacterial growth.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh chemical cleaners, bleach, Acid, Toilet Cleaner or abrasive materials on the soap dispenser, as these can damage the finish or plastic components. Stick to mild soaps and gentle cleaning solutions to maintain the appearance and functionality of the dispenser.

Regular Maintenance: From time to time, check the soap dispenser’s components for wear or damage. If you notice any leaks, cracks, or malfunctioning parts, replace them promptly to ensure optimum performance.

Note:

Always spot test any new cleaner on a hidden area of the soap dispenser before applying it to the entire surface.

Avoid contact with hot water or extreme temperatures, as they can damage the dispenser and its components.

When purchasing a cleaner for your soap dispenser, look for a brand that explicitly states its products are “suitable for brass/stainless steel”.

Sink Strainer

DRAIN ASSEMBLIES

General Cleaning

The humble drain assembly is actually a major part of keeping your kitchen sink clean, ensuring that every-thing functions properly by keeping the drainpipe free of debris. To keep your sink drain looking its best, periodically clean the drain assembly and strainer with water and a mild liquid soap detergent, making sure to rinse thoroughly and dry with a microfiber cloth to maximize lustre. To prevent discoloration, always rinse and wipe the drain and bottom of your sink when you’re done using it, and avoid leaving staining substances like coffee and teabags in the sink or on the drain assembly.

Deep Cleaning

Between food debris, hard water stains, and general gunk from dishwashing and other kitchen tasks, your drain assembly and strainer may need a deeper cleaning. If food particles have collected in the openings of the strainer, pick the debris out with a fork and then wipe down the strainer and sides of the drain assembly with a mild detergent that has grease-cutting properties. To get your stainless steel drain assembly sparkling clean, use lemon juice and a paste made from baking soda and water to scrub, then rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry with a microfiber cloth. If stains remain, you can soak a paper towel in distilled white vinegar, then lay the paper towel over the stained area and let it sit for 20 minutes.

Things To Avoid

  • DO NOT place items or substances that can cause stains, such as tea bags or coffee, into the bottom of your sink or directly onto the drain assembly
